Yay! I admire your wife's persistence! Happy she got it back.
I cycled with my two children in France for four weeks without a single puncture. After the adventure, we got back to Leeds Airport, put the bikes back together, pumped up the tires. All good. My son had sat through the whole procedure tinkering with something on a bench. I hadn't taken any notice of what. We had a twelve mile cycle home, set out and a couple of minutes later had to stop. Daughter had a puncture. I search through all the bags, cursing by now, where's the puncture repair kit? He'd left it behind on the bench which was also behind security, so even though we went back for it, we weren't allowed access.
A helpful truck driver with duck tape got us home.
That's the world I'm in now. I take a kind of glee in it, whereas before, I would have cursed the hell out of the situation. While you were telling yours, I wondered what it would have been like for those in the queue behind you (I couldn't help it, I'm English)!!
Brilliant! Hurray for Agent Robles!
Thank you, Lynn!
Who the hell takes a beanie haha
Beanie bandit! 👏🏼👏🏼

That's a great story!
I guess these things have always happened, but these days I find myself thinking about the story I'm going to write while I'm experiencing it!

Ah, we were through security, so not directly holding anyone up. I'm also English, so I know exactly what you mean. I would have been mortified!
How delightful. Good to know there are good people in the world.
Thank you, Kim!
Good job with the suspense! And your description of actions taken by everyone! Bravo!
Thanks Gary.
Thank you, Tamra!
